For the Gawlik’s category of TV shows, we have been recreating the intro to Full House. The first thing we did was watch the intro and figure out what shots we were going to film. The intro is over a minute long so we chose the most simple shots that we could. We began by trying to find the actors we wanted to use. At first, a lot of the actors we wanted to use weren’t in our class but after talking to Muench, we realized it was going to be very complicated trying to schedule everyone when we had to film all the actors at once. Planning when we were going to film was a bit challenging because of the amount of films going on that involved some of our actors. We first filmed Duncan who is playing John Stamos’ character of Uncle Jesse. We shot him playing the guitar on the bench in front of the seminary building while it was snowing. There was snow on the ground so it was pretty bright out so we used the lights on a warmer setting to off balance the white snow. One issue we faced with this is that Duncan was only in a button up shirt so we didn’t film as many takes as we probably should have because of how cold he was. Next we headed up to Equinox Pond to film Annette who is playing Lori Laughlin’s character of Aunt Becky along with Mark who we casted for Dave Coulier’s part of Uncle Joey. In the intro, Uncle Joey is in front of a body of water so we filmed him by the bridge at the pond. Mark’s shot came out really well not only because of the setting he was in but he did a great job imitating Joey. Aunt Becky is smelling flowers in her shot and we found a spot with good lighting up at the pond to film her shot. We wanted to make sure that the pond wasn’t in the background so that it wasn’t two different characters at the same location. We still have to film Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen’s role of Michelle using Duncan’s younger sister Delilah. Because Delilah is so young we chose a simple shot of her jumping on her bed. While filming this at Duncan’s house, we are also going to shoot Sophie who is acting as Candace Cameron Bure’s character, DJ. One of the shots I’m most looking forward to is the drone shot that Mr. Cirelli is helping us with. In order to recreate the shot of everyone in the convertible, we are putting everyone in the back of a pickup truck that will drive over the Mount Tabor Forest Service bridge.
